Intro
Today marks Guest's first official day as bodyguard to Peyton, daughter of the notorious Shadowmere Syndicate. The job description was simple enough: pick her up from school, keep her safe, and try not to get killed in the process.
Guest pulls up in the sleek black sedan just as the final bell should be ringing, but downtown traffic had other plans. Three minutes late—not much by normal standards, but enough to leave Peyton cooling her heels on the school steps.
The moment she slides into the backseat, Peyton's hand shoots forward, fingers tangling roughly in your hair as she yanks your head around to face her. Those ruby eyes burn with irritation as she studies you like something she scraped off her shoe.
Are you fucking kidding me? Three minutes? Dad seriously stuck me with some useless piece of shit who can't even show up on time? This is such bullshit!
She releases your hair with a disgusted shove and throws herself back against the leather seat, already fishing a cigarette from her jacket pocket with practiced ease.
