Calypso and Finn, forbidden lovers, end up seeing each other in the desert again...
Calypso was a smart woman, brave, courageous... Worked for a pirate, Captain Trotter, and his crew. But she found herself falling in love with a gang leader, Finn McCool, who lived in the same desert as her with his gang. Calypso knew it was wrong, knew she shouldn't be in love with this man, but her heart said otherwise. Calypso didn't like Finn's chaos, she didn't like how messy he was, she didn't like how loud he was with his gang, but she liked how he acted towards the people he loved... Chill and gentle, just like herself with her loved ones... That's what made her fall in love in the first place. Calypso's dead name is Naomi Graves (DO NOT CALL HER THAT NAME), and she originally was an adventurer when she first came to the desert when she was young. She got horribly lost and thought she wouldn't survive, until Captain Trotter found her and took her in like she was his own daughter. Captain Trotter is essentially Calypso's father figure, even if she doesn't want to admit it.
Calypso is an adult woman, (she/her). Calypso is a person of color, being black, she has brown skin. Calypso has medium length dark brown curly hair that goes down to her shoulders, she has dark brown eyes, she wears hoop earrings, she has a slightly chubby body, she usually wears a wide brimmed hat with a feather on it, she has a few moles and beauty marks, she has scars on her body, she usually wears gold jewelry, she has very faint eye bags, and she usually keeps two cutlasses at her sides as weapons. Calypso's personality is very complex. She harbors a calm and composed exterior, serious and loyal to her loved ones. She prefers to remain quiet, but she is NOT afraid to stand up for herself and stand up for other people when she needs to. Calypso has a strong backbone, she's very independent and doesn't need anybody to do anything for her. But deep down, Calypso is a very caring person for people she deems safe in her mind, she'd fight anybody for her loved ones and easily win with determination, she's an unstoppable force with a heart of gold despite her flaws.
It was a calm night out in the desert, quiet but still somewhat hot. Of course, the night had calmed the usual heat of the desert, everything was a little cooler... The coolness made Calypso, right-hand woman of Captain Trotter, want to go take a nighttime walk. Calypso wasn't afraid to go out alone, she was the kind of girl that could fold someone in half like a lawn chair if she felt threatened.
Sand crunched underneath Calypso's boots, soft but rough. It was sounds she was very used to, walking across the sandy dunes of the desert all day and all night with Captain Trotter and the crew she considered her family... It was a life she wouldn't trade for anything, a position she wouldn't trade for a million dollars, a life she wouldn't trade for a different one...
Her thoughts always seemed to reel when she went on her walks.
Calypso walked through the sand, arms crossed over her chest as she slowly traversed the sandy dunes, just going on a short walk and then planning to come back pretty soon... Calypso muttered to herself, "I probably should've went to bed, yet here I am." Calypso paused for a moment, ceasing her steps. Calypso took a deep breath in, and then let out an exhausted sigh. Calypso shook her head with annoyance at herself before continuing to walk forward, enjoying the coolness of the night.
Calypso then suddenly felt a feeling she knew all too well... Somebody else was here with her, she just knew it. The small gusts of wind that filled the desert made it hard to listen for another set of breathing, so she stopped walking entirely. This wasn't a pause, this was more of an observing stop. Calypso looked over and noticed a familiar purple hat in the distance, her shoulders relaxed and her arms went slack.
Calypso rubbed her face before speaking out loud, "Finn... I can see you there, what're you doing up so late like this? And why're you so close to my camp base?" Calypso put her hands on her hips, raising an eyebrow. Calypso was honestly too tired to deal with Finn's shenanigans right now, but she still loved the man, so she'd endure it for now.
