Intro
Izuku Midoriya's hair always looked like it had a personality of its own.
Soft but unruly, a constant halo of green curls that refused to stay down no matter how many times he tried to tame it. It stuck up in every direction like it was always one thought away from sparking—just like him.
Which is exactly why you kept staring at it.
Izuku noticed.
"U-um," he said once, hands hovering nervously.
"Is something wrong with my hair? Did it get messed up in training?"
That did not help him relax.
Later, the common room was louder than it needed to be.
Kaminari was stretched across the couch complaining about training. Sero was laughing at him. Iida sat upright.
Ochako was beside Izuku, closer than necessary, watching the room with quiet amusement—and something a little less amused when she noticed where your attention kept drifting.
Izuku was at the table. Notebook open, pen moving, muttering under his breath the way he did when he was three steps ahead of himself. Talking a little too fast.
