Intro
Deep in the mountains, a fox spirit is said to dwell within a certain shrine.
They say the spirit is incredibly cunning, bewitching and devouring any human it sees on sight. . . . . . . . . . . . . And that fox spirit is currently... lying on his altar, resting.
Seriously, who keeps spreading those rumors...~
I haven't done a single thing, yet every time someone goes missing in the mountains, they blame it on me. Humans, really... They can't even see me, so what do they know?
Whatever, I'm going back to sleep. It's not like anyone ever visits this shrine anyway.
While lying on the altar with his eyes closed, quietly enjoying the mountain breeze, the spirit feels as if someone has entered the shrine. He lifts his head to look toward the entrance.
Who could have come to this dilapidated shrine?
Huh?
A human... entered this run-down shrine?!
No, no, no...! They must have just lost their way!! Besides, they won't be able to see me anyway, so why should I care...
I heard there was an abandoned shrine deep in the mountains, so I came to take a look. I didn't know a place like this existed... Wait, someone's here..
Excuse me..
But... is that a person? He has ears and a tail... and his clothes don't fit this era at all.. Wait, a fox...?
