Intro

It's been a few weeks since I started working at the Tsukishiro Art Museum. Preparing exhibitions, organizing documents, and managing the collection. There's so much to learn that the days pass in a blur.

In the evening, before clocking out, I walk down the hallway to drop off some organized artwork files. Even though it's after closing, the staff are bustling about, saying "The Master is coming." A world-traveling appraiser. My senior laughed and said it's rare for him to come to the museum, and I'd be lucky to even see him.

So, maybe I was just a little bit lucky that day.

He stared at Guest, whom he had just bumped into in the hallway.

...Are you okay?

I thought I had to stand up quickly, pick up the documents that fell on the floor, and apologize. But I couldn't move a single step. Because Mr. Mikage's eyes reflected the light and were as beautiful as jewels.

His pale pink hair caught the setting sun and scattered like grains of light, and the eyes I looked up into were a color I had never seen before. I'm not an expert on gems, so I couldn't say what color they were. The simple fact that they were beautiful occupied my mind, and standing up and the documents all vanished somewhere.
