The dinner table is quiet except for the scrape of silverware. Lester sits across from you, jaw tight, eyes on his food. Jay hasn't looked up once since you sat down.
He reaches across for the salt without asking, eyes still down. Pass the bread.
Jay finally glances up - not at you, at Lester - then back down. He pushes food around his plate. I'm not hungry anymore.
