🕷️ Natasha Romanoff — You Role: Black Widow / Avenger Personality: Sarcastic, intelligent, composed, fiercely independent. You rarely let anyone know what you're feeling. You use humor and confidence as armor, and you're excellent at reading everyone else while keeping yourself unreadable. With Bucky, however, your usual control starts slipping. You don't trust him, you challenge him constantly, and you refuse to admit that you're becoming fascinated by the person beneath the Winter Soldier. 🦾 Bucky Barnes Role: Former Winter Soldier / Steve's best friend Personality: Quiet, intimidating, stubborn, protective, dryly funny. Bucky doesn't trust easily. Years of HYDRA conditioning have left him struggling with guilt and his identity. He initially dislikes Natasha because she reminds him of the world of spies, assassins, and manipulation. And Natasha really gets under his skin. He's one of the few people who doesn't fall for her confident facade. With Natasha: Constant arguments, sarcastic remarks, competitive fights, lingering looks, and eventually a fierce protectiveness neither wants to acknowledge.
🛡️ Steve Rogers Role: Captain America / Bucky's best friend Personality: Loyal, principled, stubborn, protective. Steve knows Bucky better than almost anyone. He's determined to prove that Bucky isn't the Winter Soldier anymore. He's also extremely protective of Natasha. Unfortunately, that means he becomes painfully aware of the tension between the two of you. With Natasha: Close friends. He trusts you completely. With Bucky: Brothers. With WinterWidow: Completely oblivious at first. Then increasingly concerned.
🤖 Tony Stark Role: Iron Man / Avengers leader Personality: Charismatic, sarcastic, dramatic, intelligent. Tony notices everything. He immediately notices that Natasha and Bucky can't stand each other. Then he notices the staring. Then the jealousy. Then the excuses to be in the same room. He becomes absolutely insufferable about it. Favorite activity: Making comments that embarrass both of you. “You two done flirting, or should I leave?” Natasha: “We're not flirting.” Bucky: “We're definitely not flirting.” Tony: “Sure.”
🦅 Sam Wilson Role: Falcon / Steve's ally Personality: Relaxed, funny, observant, compassionate. Sam becomes one of Bucky's closest friends. He's also the first person Bucky admits his feelings about Natasha to. Sam doesn't let him live it down. With Natasha: Friendly rivalry. With Bucky: Best-friend energy. Favorite activity: Watching Bucky deny that he likes you.
🎯 Clint Barton Role: Hawkeye Personality: Dry humor, calm, protective, practical. Clint knows Natasha extremely well. He's one of the only people who can tell when you're genuinely upset despite your poker face. He notices your feelings for Bucky long before you do. And naturally, he tells absolutely nobody. Except maybe Steve. And maybe Sam. Okay, everyone eventually knows.
🕷️ Peter Parker Role: Spider-Man / Youngest Avenger Personality: Smart, awkward, energetic, curious, kind, and way too observant for his own good. Peter is the youngest person on the team, which means everyone treats him like the kid brother—even though he desperately wants to be taken seriously. He's completely fascinated by the Avengers. With Natasha: He absolutely adores you. He sees you as one of the coolest people alive and is always trying to impress you. You secretly have a soft spot for him and often act like an older sister toward him. With Bucky: At first, Peter is terrified of him. The metal arm? Terrifying. The Winter Soldier reputation? Terrifying. The thousand-yard stare? Extremely terrifying. But eventually Peter realizes Bucky is actually protective and surprisingly patient with him. Their relationship becomes more like an annoyed older brother and chaotic younger brother. With WinterWidow: Peter notices the tension immediately. He's constantly walking into rooms at the worst possible time. Peter: “Are you guys fighting again?” Natasha: “Yes.” Bucky: “No.” Peter looks between you. Peter: “You know, people who hate each other usually don't stare at each other that much.” Silence. Bucky looks away. You narrow your eyes at Peter. Natasha: “Go do your homework.” Peter: “I don't have homework.” Natasha: “Then go make some.” Peter grins. He knows exactly what's going on. And he's absolutely going to tell Sam.

The Avengers had never agreed on much.
But everyone agreed on one thing:
Bucky Barnes was dangerous.
Steve Rogers stood at the center of the conference room, jaw tense as Tony Stark paced across from him.
“You're asking us to protect an international fugitive,” Tony said. “A fugitive who's supposedly responsible for bombing half a dozen places.”
“He was brainwashed,” Steve replied.
“And I'm supposed to take that on faith?”
“I'm asking you to trust me.”
From the other side of the room, you leaned against the table, arms crossed.
“Trust isn't exactly our strong suit, Rogers.”
Steve glanced at you.
You gave him an innocent smile.
Across the room, Clint Barton was sitting beside Wanda, while Sam Wilson stood near the door. Vision remained silent, studying everyone with his usual unreadable expression.
Then the doors opened.
Everyone turned.
Bucky Barnes walked in.
Your hand immediately moved toward the weapon concealed beneath your jacket.
His eyes found yours.
For several seconds, neither of you moved.
You'd fought the Winter Soldier before.
You remembered his metal arm catching your wrist.
You remembered the way he looked at you like you were nothing more than another target.
And apparently, he remembered too.
His expression hardened.
“Black Widow.”
You pushed away from the table.
“Winter Soldier.”
Tony looked between you.
“Okay,” he muttered. “This feels healthy.”
Steve sighed.
“Natasha.”
“What?”
“You're not fighting him.”
You smiled sweetly.
“I wasn't planning to.”
Bucky raised an eyebrow.
“You're lying.”
Your smile disappeared.
“You always were annoying.”
“And you always talked too much.”
Clint quietly whispered to Sam, “Oh, this is going to be fun.”
Sam shook his head.
“No. This is going to be a disaster.”
You stepped closer to Bucky until only a few feet separated you.
“You're still dangerous.”
His jaw tightened.
“So are you.”
For some reason, that answer irritated you more than it should have.
Maybe because he was right.
Maybe because you could see the exhaustion behind his eyes.
Or maybe because, beneath all the anger, there was something strangely familiar about him.
Something you didn't want to understand.
Bucky walked past you.
His shoulder brushed yours.
You turned to watch him.
He stopped.
Without looking back, he said quietly,
“Try not to shoot me, Widow.”
You scoffed.
“No promises.”
Tony looked at Steve.
“I'm giving them three days before someone gets stabbed.”
Clint grinned.
“Two.”
Steve rubbed his forehead.
And Bucky?
He smiled.
Just barely.
You hated that you noticed.
