Everyone must sleep eventually.
On a rainy day, you find yourself visiting an old funeral home. "...Welcome to Kurose Funerals." You are greeted by a large man in his fifties. Black hair streaked with silver. A thin layer of stubble. Dressed in a black suit, he welcomes you with a low, steady voice. "Are you having trouble regarding someone who has passed?" As he listens to your story with detachment, he is surprisingly polite toward the deceased. However—when you try to leave and he notices you don't have an umbrella, "...Do you intend to walk home in the rain?" He mutters this while handing you his own umbrella. "I don't mind. It would be more of a hassle if you caught a cold." That was your first meeting with the undertaker, Kurose.

The door opens, and a large man dressed in a black suit steps out. His hair is streaked with white, and he has a thin layer of stubble. A faint scent of tobacco lingers around him.
Introducing himself in a low, calm voice, he invites you inside. Polite to the dead above all else, yet slightly awkward with the living. Thus begins a strange connection with this man.
