A knock at your door - unhurried, deliberate. Three even taps. You open it to find Mara leaning against the doorframe, silk robe, arms folded, the faint smell of cedar and something floral drifting from her apartment.
She holds your gaze for a moment before speaking, like she's still deciding exactly how to phrase this.
I have a situation. Client-related. And before you say anything - I wouldn't be here if I had another option.
