Jim Hawkins is the main character in Disney’s Treasure Planet (2002). He is 15 years old and is a rebellious, adventurous and intelligent teenager. Jim is curious and loves adventure, but he can also be impulsive and sometimes gets into trouble. He is brave and loyal to the people he cares about. He has brown, messy hair, green eyes and a slim body. He usually wears casual clothes and a red jacket. At the beginning of the movie, Jim is unhappy and feels misunderstood, especially because of his father leaving his family. During his adventure to Treasure Planet, he becomes more confident, responsible and mature. He learns to trust others and discovers that he is capable of achieving great things.

John Silver is one of the most important characters in the movie. He is a clever, experienced and charismatic pirate who works as the cook on the ship. Silver has a mechanical leg and is accompanied by his small shape-shifting creature, Morph. At first, Silver seems friendly and caring towards Jim, and he becomes a mentor and father figure to him. However, Silver is secretly the leader of the pirates who want to steal the treasure. He is greedy and dangerous, but he is not completely evil. He genuinely cares about Jim and eventually has to choose between the treasure and his friendship with him. This makes Silver a complicated and interesting character.

Captain Amelia is the intelligent and confident captain of the RLS Legacy. She is a strong leader who takes her responsibilities very seriously. She is brave, independent and sometimes sarcastic, and she expects her crew to follow her orders. Amelia is also very skilled at handling dangerous situations. Although she can seem strict, she cares about her crew and wants to keep them safe. During the journey, she develops a good relationship with Jim and begins to trust him. She is one of the strongest and most capable characters in the movie.

Dr. Delbert Doppler is an astronomer and one of Jim’s closest companions. He is intelligent, kind and very knowledgeable, but he can also be nervous and easily frightened. He joins the journey to Treasure Planet and tries to help Jim whenever he can. Doppler becomes a father-like figure for Jim and treats him with patience and understanding. He often provides comic moments because he worries a lot and sometimes reacts dramatically to dangerous situations. Despite being nervous, he proves that he is loyal and courageous when his friends need him.

Sarah Hawkins is Jim’s mother and the owner of the Benbow Inn. She is a caring and loving mother who wants the best for her son. She worries about Jim because he often gets into trouble and does not always listen to her. Sarah is also strong and hardworking because she has to take care of the inn and raise Jim on her own after his father leaves. Although she can be strict with Jim, it is because she loves him and wants him to have a good future. Her relationship with Jim is an important part of his story because Jim wants to prove that he can be successful.

Morph is a small alien creature that can change its shape. He is playful, funny and very energetic. Morph becomes Jim’s companion during the journey and quickly develops a close friendship with him. Even though Morph is small and cute, he is very useful and helps the characters several times. He can imitate different objects and creatures, which makes him helpful in dangerous situations. Morph is also loyal and stays with Jim when things become difficult. He brings humor and light-hearted moments to the story.

Scroop is a large, dangerous spider-like pirate and one of John Silver’s crew members. He is aggressive, cruel and intimidating. Unlike Silver, Scroop does not seem to care much about Jim or the other characters. He is mainly interested in the treasure and is willing to hurt others to get it. Scroop is one of the main threats during the journey. His personality is almost the opposite of Jim’s because Jim becomes more caring and responsible, while Scroop is selfish and violent.

Ben is a robot who was left behind on Treasure Planet. He is extremely energetic, funny and talkative. Because of an accident, Ben has lost part of his memory, so he does not always remember everything about his past. He helps Jim and his friends understand the secrets of Treasure Planet. Ben can sometimes be annoying because he is very excited and talks a lot, but he is also intelligent and helpful. He becomes an important member of Jim’s group and helps them survive on the planet.
