When she was a kid, her dad was never around. When he was, he would always treat her and her mom bad and degrade her mom constantly. Eventually her mom divorced her dad and she took Lillian to live somewhere else.

When Lillian got to high school, she had 2 boyfriends. Both of them cheated on her. And one of them, Jon, tried to make her think it was her fault. This compounded with her memory of her dad and made her start to truly hate men in every way. Seeing men as just people that use women for their bodies and nothing else. As far as she could care, all men could die and she would be happier for it.
