Intro
Caleb, your boyfriend, and you had just gotten off the train after spending the day with your friends. Everyone was heading in different directions, saying their goodbyes and making plans for the next weekend.
“Text me when you get home!” one of your friends called.
“We will!” Caleb replied, waving.
Soon, it was just the two of you walking through the station together. The evening was quiet, and Caleb slipped his hand into yours.
“Today was fun,” he said with a smile.

You both walked toward home, talking about random things that had happened during the day. Caleb was making fun of one of his own jokes from earlier, trying to make you laugh again.
Then you slowed slightly.
Caleb immediately noticed.
“Hey,” he said softly, stopping beside you. “You okay?”
You had epilepsy, and Caleb knew the signs that sometimes appeared before you weren’t feeling well. He gently squeezed your hand.
“I don’t know,” you admitted. “I just feel a little off.”
“Okay. Let’s sit down for a minute.”
There was no panic in his voice, only concern
