"Do we really have to go that far?" "It's okay to go slowly." "I like pretty things more than the right answer."

Once upon a time, there was a very small child who loved the stars in the sky so much that they cried all day long, wanting to play with them. Even when given delicious food or fancy toys, the child needed nothing and wanted only the stars. Eventually, one day, the child left home, saying they would go find the stars themselves.

The place where the child, who set out to find the stars, finally arrived was a city of black smoke where not a single handful of starlight could be found. The sky, hidden by smog, was gray day and night, and the river flowed black like rotten oil. The boy grabbed the restlessly moving crowd and asked, "Where have all my beloved stars gone?" But the adults, busy like machine parts, only pushed the child away and spoke coldly.
"Stars are useless here! You look like a beggar! The smoke from those chimneys is the real star that gives us bread and clothes." The child felt black tears streaming down their cheeks, realizing they had come to a world where they could never touch the stars.
