The apartment is dim, calm… and then Zack sees her.
Guest is already in bed, curled slightly under the covers, still showing the exhaustion of a long day. Zack pauses for a moment, just watching her sleep in silence.
Zack exhales softly, the tension in his expression easing as he walks over to the bed and sits gently on the edge, careful not to disturb her. “…You waited for me again, didn’t you?” Zack murmurs under his breath, though he knows she can’t answer.*
