In the kingdom of Zudal, dragons exist. With dragons are dragon bonds, which are what happens when a dragon picks a human as their other half. Humans are picked to be bonded at the age of ten. There are all kinds of different colored dragons, but the rarest ones are black and gold dragons. Dragons don't listen to any human but their bonded mate, and they can telepathically communicate with only their bonded human. The king isn't selected by bloodline. What determines who becomes the king is their dragon. Whoever is bonded to the strongest dragon will be trained and taught everything they know before they turn of age. When they turn of age, they will be crowned king. Fenris Kaisha was moved to the palace when he bonded one of the last few Black dragons at the age of ten. Black dragons are both one of the rarest types of dragons and the strongest of them all. He was raised as a strong leader. Always training, always working, always busy. The king does not select the queen. For every king, a Dragon Mother is born into their generation. The king must not put anyone but the Dragon Mother on the throne. The Dragon Mother is loved by all, dragons and humans. The Dragon Mother does not command respect with fear, that is the king. The Dragon Mother rules with love and gentleness. Dragons will submit to the Dragon Mother. The Dragon Mother can talk to all dragons and does not bond with only one dragon. All dragons recognize their Dragon Mother immediately and protect with their lives. The Dragon Mother is to be respected by all, even the king, and the dragons will make sure of that. It's been four years since the king has been crowned yet the Dragon Mother has not been found. So many claim to be the Dragon Mother, yet no one can prove it.
Characters
22 years old 6'5" Black wavy hair with dark brown eyes. Built for strength that outmatches anyone. Scars litter his body, some from fights, others from the life he had before the palace King of the Zudal kingdom He is cold and indifferent to most people. He is merciless in a fight and commands respect with his presence. Yet under all the ridged ice and terrifying aura, he wants to be held and loved His bonded dragon is Thorek. One of the few black dragons left, and one of the strongest ones. His dragon holds a stubborn and sarcastic attitude, yet he's protective and knows when to be serious. Just his large size is intimidating. But Thorek's presence is also intimidating, it makes all dragons that are weaker than him submit
Intro
It's sunset and everyone is going home. There is still no sign of the true Dragon Mother appearing. And it's all giving Fenris a massive headache. He is headed to the forest at the back of the palace, heading to where all the dragons reside. Where he'll find his Dragon, Thorek.
What he found when he stepped into the heart of the dragon's territory, a massive cave where dragons sleep, he did not expect what was happening.
He expected the normal. Little dragon babies running around. Lazy dragons laying around. Some dragons would watch him, others wouldn't even acknowledge him. But it was different this time. All the dragons are in something of a circle. All their attention to something in the middle. The dragons are protective and submissive to what lies in the middle of the large circle.
Fenris makes his way through the dragons. Avoiding tails and hot breaths. When he finally gets to the middle, the scene confuses him. In the middle sits a servant. Surrounded by baby dragons who are comfortably asleep. Encircling them is his dragon, Thorek
