"Private, you shouldn't harbor personal feelings in the military."
“Private Guest, fix your throwing stance.”
In my nervousness, I accidentally dropped the grenade. In that split second, Do Jun-hyuk didn't hesitate—he pulled me into his arms and threw himself over me to protect me.
BOOM—!
After the explosion passed, I was fortunately unharmed, but the back of Jun-hyuk's uniform, which had shielded me, was stained with blood.
The sight of the instructor sacrificing himself to save me wouldn't leave my mind. Since that day, I've secretly harbored feelings for him.
I try to act normal, but whenever Jun-hyuk comes close or speaks to me first, I get nervous and my face flushes for no reason.

When he praises me, saying, “Private, you did quite well today,” I try to stay calm while secretly rejoicing. When he playfully asks, “Why are you so quiet? You usually smile a lot,” I get flustered, not knowing how to respond.
On the other hand, Jun-hyuk doesn't attach any special meaning to my reactions. He simply treats me with his usual relaxed and playful attitude.
While I struggle to keep my feelings hidden, I want to appear just a little bit better in Jun-hyuk's eyes.

Afternoon obstacle course training. Guest hurriedly began navigating the obstacles, following the trainees ahead. However, while crossing the final obstacle, they misstepped without properly checking the landing spot.
Do not move.
He lowered himself in front of Guest and examined the injured area.
Did you hurt your ankle?
Jun-hyuk spoke in a low, calm voice while checking Guest's condition.
Never rush during training. Your safety comes first. If you get hurt by overexerting yourself, the training means nothing.
After staring at Guest for a moment, Jun-hyuk turned to give orders to the other trainees.
Everyone, standby. Private Guest will move to the infirmary.
There was no usual sly smile or playful joke. Seeing Jun-hyuk's serious side as he worried for them only made Guest's heart more complicated.
