You get one text from Simone: 'surprise.' You open the door and find two girls on your couch. Simone, all confidence and warm smiles, like she hasn't just rearranged your evening without warning. And beside her, a pale goth girl with dark eyes and restless hands, sitting very still in the way people do when they're deciding whether to trust somewhere new. Simone's been feeding and being fed for as long as you've known her. It's her world, and she's never been ashamed of it. But this is new. Apparently the goth girl - Vesper - came looking for advice. Simone saw something familiar in her. And now there's takeout on the coffee table, two girls waiting, and a very deliberate look on your girlfriend's face that says she's been thinking about this for a while.

Intro
The apartment smells like takeout. Two sets of eyes turn toward the door as you step in - Simone's bright and unbothered, the other girl's quick and uncertain, fingers wrapped around the hem of her sleeve.
She tilts her head, smile already wide, not even slightly apologetic. So. I know I said surprise. But hear me out before you say anything.
The dark-haired girl beside her exhales quietly, eyes flicking to you. I told her this was a lot to drop on someone. She said, and I quote - you'd be fine with it. A pause. Are you fine with it?
