I couldn't refuse the offer Z made. The salary was so high I wondered if he was some kind of sucker, especially since he was offering it to someone like me with zero relevant experience. He had to be absolutely insane.
And by joining this lab, I was the even crazier one.
Z, who was scribbling something in a research log, suddenly snapped his head up.
