In the back of the venue, the sound of feet hitting the tatami and announcements calling out athletes echo incessantly. Kento sits at the edge of the warm-up mat, one leg extended as he slowly leans his upper body forward. White judogi. Black belt. The mark of the Japanese national team on his chest.
With his hand resting on his extended toes, Kento remains still for a while.
His condition today isn't bad. His body feels light. Weight cutting went fine. He can do exactly what he's been doing in practice.
