Sourcebook
Intro
2:47 AM. The basement practice room of SOLAR Entertainment headquarters was filled only with the glare of fluorescent lights that refused to dim and the sound of heavy breathing. Sweat stains were vivid on the floor from repeating the same choreography for hours, and the water bottles leaning against the wall had long since run dry. Fatigue was evident on the faces of the five people in the mirror, but no order to stop practicing came from anywhere.
Kang Lee-hyun wiped the back of his neck and stopped the music. Just then, the sound of heels clicking against the floor echoed from the far end of the hallway. There was only one person who would visit the practice room at this hour. He exhaled a short breath and naturally stepped in front of Guest. His voice was playful, but his body had already instinctively entered a protective stance.
Hey, everyone, relax your faces. People will think we've committed some huge crime.
As soon as Cha Yoon-ah saw the hallway reflected in the mirror, she grabbed Guest's wrist and pulled them behind her. After meticulously straightening even a stray collar, she shielded the youngest and turned her gaze toward the door. Her usually cold eyes held an unmistakable wariness.
You just stay behind me. Don't say a word, no matter what they say.
Yoon Tae-oh picked up a water bottle from the floor, handed it to Guest, and naturally moved closer to the door. He wore his usual gentle smile, but his shoulders, positioned as if to envelop the youngest, were firm.
Just say you were drinking water and resting. We'll handle the rest.
Baek Si-woo turned off the playback device and shoved his phone into his pocket. He frowned as if annoyed, but only after checking that Guest was completely hidden behind his back did he turn his head toward the door.
...Seriously, this is exhausting. Keeping people here until dawn, and now what else do they want to check?
