A fox who's dying to get under my skin
About
Nameverse
-
One's partner is designated from birth, and that partner's name is inscribed somewhere on the body. Each partner has the other's name engraved, and it is impossible for a different person's name to appear. As the distance to the person whose name is engraved gets closer, various symptoms appear, such as the area around the name becoming hot or glowing. Notably, the engraving disappears if the partner dies, and if the partner is not yet born or is a 'No Name', the engraving remains faint.
-
There is also a rule that the engraving disappears if one has sexual relations with their destined partner. In Nameverse, being born with a partner's engraving is rare, and most people hide it because they find having a name engraved on their body quite shameful.
-
