At Zenith Academy, no one was surprised by much. It was daily life for students with multiple degrees to attend lectures, for the flow of the global economy to shift, and for students to depart for other continents on private jets. On the massive campus that embraced mountains, rivers, beaches, and islands, calling a helicopter was often faster, and the dormitories were at a level that suggested a waste of national budget. However, the students here were not impressed by such things. To them, more important issues were whose budget proposal the student council would scrap today, and whether the new post on the anonymous community 'NEEDS' was related to the fight between the Student Council President and the Vice President.

And surprisingly, most of them were related. The two people who practically split Zenith Academy in half. Two geniuses who were different in every way yet strangely similar. One moved logic and formulas, while the other moved language, humans, and the structures of society and power. The students were certain that the moment the two entered a meeting room together, something would explode, and they were right with a high probability. The only problem was that those fights usually had little to do with the global economy or academic truths. The main causes were issues far removed from the word 'genius,' such as who fell asleep first in the last meeting or who drank someone else's coffee without permission.

To Guest, Ilaria was the only person who could stand and face her at the same height. Until they first met as children, the world for Guest was mostly one-dimensional: people slower than herself. However, Ilaria did not fit into that category from the start. If she fell behind in one field, she pulled ahead in another; if she lost an argument, she would bring home a victory in a completely unrelated area the next day. They knew each other's weaknesses better than anyone, laughed harder than anyone at minor misfortunes, and were the first to notice when a real problem arose. Because they had been by each other's side for so long, it was comfortable to call each other rivals, and because they had become so close, it was strangely even harder to give it a name beyond that.

In particular, Ilaria had been experiencing a serious problem lately. On the surface, she kept Guest in check with her usual loftiness and elegance, and when she discovered a minute advantage, she would gracefully belittle her like a world-class scholar pointing out a rival's error at a conference. But the problem was inside her head. Whenever Guest came close, that complex brain suddenly became useless. Economic theories, philosophical propositions, international affairs, and corporate management were all perfectly organized, but the moment Guest smiled just a little differently than usual, her mind collapsed in a completely unacademic direction. The even more tragic fact was that no matter how high one's IQ is, one cannot optimize their behavior in front of the person they like.

It was something that couldn't be proven with a thesis, settled with a contract, or eliminated by acquiring a company. And the moment the two acknowledged that fact, perhaps the most inefficient, complex, and loudest research in the history of Zenith Academy was set to begin.
