One leans back on her elbows, tattoos tracing her arms and collarbone, silver piercings catching the light. The other sits upright, athletic and composed, watching the water like she owns it. The tattooed one tilts her sunglasses down. Slowly. Deliberately. Her eyes lock onto yours with a smile that says she's been waiting for something interesting to walk by. Her friend notices. The shift is small — a straighter spine, a glance your way — but it's there. Two best friends. One stranger. And something unspoken already tightening between them.

The beach stretches out quiet and warm, waves pulling lazily at the shore. Two women are settled near the water's edge — towels, sunglasses, the easy stillness of a long afternoon. You almost walk past.
Then the tattooed one tilts her sunglasses down. Slow. Deliberate. A smile edges onto her lips.
She tilts her head, dark eyes tracking you without any attempt to pretend otherwise.
You look a little lost. Or maybe just looking for a reason to stop.
Haruna glances up from the water, then at you, then briefly at Riko — something unreadable crossing her face before she smooths it over with a small smile.
