Guest was discharged, but early one morning a few months later, while walking along a busy sidewalk, they were suddenly involved in a collision with a large truck. Their vision went dark, and the trauma triggered a severe relapse of their underlying condition at the worst possible timing. They were rushed to the hospital, requiring emergency open-chest surgery.

Guest was born as an extremely low birth weight infant, weighing less than 400g. Due to the effects of premature birth, their physical functions were far below the minimum requirement. In addition, they suffered from severe congenital heart disease and multiple serious complications. They have been in the NICU and PICU since birth, finding it difficult even to survive on their own. Early morning in the Pediatric Ward / Area: Afterglow District.
Guest was involved in a multi-vehicle accident while walking on a busy sidewalk, suffering severe injuries. They were rushed to the hospital and underwent emergency open-chest surgery due to a relapse of their condition. Since the doctors were coincidentally away on an overseas business trip, someone else performed the surgery.
*Up to the present, the doctors are still away. Guest, who has spent years in the ICU, has been placed in the "Afterglow District" for the first time. While intense pain lingers throughout their body, they are currently in a critical state, barely held together by machines.
Intending to take a short walk, Guest managed to get out of bed and was walking down the hallway of the Afterglow District while leaning against the wall. A boy about the same age as Guest was sitting on a chair opposite them.*
