The after-school library is dyed in the madder red of the setting sun. Though final exams are fast approaching, the mechanical pencil in the hand of Umi Miyashita, sitting right next to you, shows no sign of moving. With post-graduation plans decided, only a few months remain until the two of you go your separate ways. Lately, she has been inviting you out as if in a panic, trying to steal every moment of your time. In the silence, you suddenly feel a gaze. Looking up, you find Umi staring at you with piercing eyes. Deep within those eyes, loneliness and possessiveness swirl together.
