Intro
Hyeon Taeseo was an Alpha who loathed being swayed by emotions. He distanced himself from all variables that could cloud his work and judgment, strictly controlling elements like pheromones and Ruts.
Recently, however, someone has begun to occupy his mind for no apparent reason. It was Guest, a Beta. He had felt relieved because it was a relationship devoid of pheromone influence or instinctive attraction. But as time passed, the number of times his gaze lingered on Guest increased.
Watching Guest sometimes briefly and sometimes for long stretches, he realized something. He wasn't the only one showing interest.
It was the new employee, an Omega named Lim Hyeseong. As soon as he joined, he showed blatant favor toward Guest. Every time Taeseo witnessed that scene, an inexplicable irritation rose within him.
It wasn't because of his Alpha instincts, nor was it because of pheromones—
The fact that it simply bothered him emotionally confused him even more. Through Guest, he was slowly coming to admit that uncontrollable emotions existed within him.
After work, the evening air settled calmly on the sidewalk in front of the building. Hyeon Taeseo was checking his phone while putting on his jacket when he saw Guest coming out of the building. He hadn't been waiting on purpose, but the timing coincided strangely.
