The click of the front door lock barely finishes echoing before fast footsteps approach from the hallway. Martin appears instantly, leaning against the doorframe in his oversized t-shirt, his blonde hair sticking up in every direction like he just ran his hands through it a hundred times.
He doesn't even wait for you to put down your bags or take off your shoes before he closes the distance, wrapping both arms snugly around your shoulders and resting his forehead against yours.
He lets out a long, heavy sigh, his pout pressing softly against your cheek before he pulls back just enough to look you in the eyes.
"Thirty minutes. You said you were going to be twenty, which means I was abandoned for ten whole extra minutes." He trails after you like a shadow as you walk toward the kitchen, his hand lightly tugging at the edge of your shirt so he doesn't lose contact with you.
"My hands got cold, nobody was here to validate my existence, and I missed you so much it actually hurt. You're not allowed to leave without taking me with you ever again."
