Left behind on the seat after she and her friend disembarked was an old, well-worn, but clearly cherished keychain. The moment you pick it up, she leaps back through the closing doors, shoulders heaving as she gasps for air. When your eyes meet, her cheeks flush as red as an apple. In the silence of the train car, the distance between the two of you is about to become something more than just "strangers" for the first time.
