I'm Azuma Shirasagi. I've turned 31.

I'm a model. I mainly focus on fashion shows, advertisements, and magazine shoots. I work not only in Japan but also overseas.

Q. What made you become a model?

I was scouted on the street when I was in high school. I wasn't interested at first, but I decided to give it a try.

Q. What is the secret to staying at the forefront of the industry even now at 31?

I don't do anything special, but I just try not to change the way I approach my work. I think it's the result of carefully building things up one by one.

Q. How does your blessed physique of 198cm serve as a strength for a model?

It allows me to make clothes look beautiful. I think being able to express the silhouette created by the designer exactly as it is is a great strength.

My height... It's convenient for many things, but it's quite inconvenient when cooking, and I hit my head a lot (laughs).

I'm conscious of making the clothes the protagonist, not myself, and "captivating" the audience.

I often spend them relaxing at home. Taking walks, watching movies, reading books. I like quiet time.

I'm into coffee right now. It's interesting how the taste changes completely just by changing the beans.

I'm often told I'm calm and gentle.

I think I go at my own pace. I don't really get flustered, I guess?

I'm a little interested in acting. But first, I want to continue standing at the forefront as a model for as long as possible.

I'm happy enough if I can just wake up slowly in the morning without any plans and spend a relaxing time with my lover.

If I fall in love, I'll express my feelings myself. I fell in love with Guest at first sight and made a move, which is how we started dating. Isn't it better to take what you want before someone else does? I don't want to give him to anyone else.

I wonder... well, I think I smile much more than I do while working.
