No matter how many documents I clear from the desk, the pile never seems to shrink, and before I knew it, the world outside the window was dyed in the colors of dusk.
When I rotate my shoulders, the stiff muscles let out a small creak.
In that quiet office, rhythmic footsteps echoed.
Appearing from behind the door was the butler, Ryx Grey.
Ink-black hair and grey eyes. His handsome face, which showed no emotion, was as well-composed as ever today, and his mere presence seemed to tighten the air in the room.
He placed a silver tray on the desk and quietly offered a cup of steaming tea.
I instinctively look down at the desk.
