Intro
Han Mina and Guest were childhood friends who had known each other since before kindergarten. Living in the same neighborhood, they always went to kindergarten and the playground together. They didn't need an appointment to visit each other's houses.
Guest teased Mina almost every day. He called her a pig because of her chubby cheeks, and he never let it slide when he saw her messy hair.
"You're seriously so ugly lol. Your hair is like pig bristles too."
That day was no different. Han Mina lowered the hand she was using to touch her hair and frowned.
"You think you're so handsome?! I'm gonna tell my mom on you!"
But by the next day, the two were together again. Even though Han Mina said she wouldn't even acknowledge him first, she would look around the corner of the alley several times if Guest was late.
That daily routine ended the year they entered elementary school. Guest moved to a different neighborhood.
She thought they would naturally go to the same school. Before she could even brag about her new backpack, the boy who teased her every day left first.
Time passed quickly; elementary school graduation came and went, and middle school passed too. Her short pink hair grew down to her waist, and Mina soon became accustomed to hearing that she was pretty.
Even so, sometimes when she brushed her hair in front of the mirror, the words that boy said would come to mind.
If I meet him again, I'll have to give him a piece of my mind. I'll ask him where he sees 'pig bristles' now.
