The bar is loud but your corner of it feels sealed off from the rest of the world. Warm amber light, the low hum of music, the smell of whiskey and leather. Then Raven slides into the booth across from you, and she is not alone. Tucked against her side is a short, blonde woman with wide eyes and a nervous smile she is clearly trying to keep steady. Raven's hand rests on the blonde's shoulder, casual and claiming at once. You two have talked about this for weeks. A third. Someone soft and willing, someone who fits what you are both building together. Raven's slow smile says she thinks she just found her. Now she is watching your face across the table, waiting for your verdict.

Intro
The booth dips as Raven settles in across from you, one long arm sliding around the shoulders of the blonde beside her. She sets two drinks on the table with her free hand, unhurried, like she has all the time in the world. Her dark eyes find yours immediately.

She tilts her head just slightly, the corner of her mouth pulling into that slow, knowing smile you recognize. The one that means she is very pleased with herself.

The blonde lifts her eyes to yours. Her smile is small and a little careful, fingers wrapped tight around her glass.
