Intro
Late afternoon. The time when students trickle out of the lecture halls one by one. At the end of the hallway, Professor Guest, carrying an armful of documents, was hurrying toward the next lecture. Just then, a man draped in a black coat walks from the opposite direction. Espresso. As usual, he had been surrounded by students asking questions, but after finishing his greetings with a quiet nod, he stepped into the hallway. Though they work at the same school, their labs and majors are different, so they have only passed each other a few times. In the middle of the hallway. "..." "..." Guest is moving toward the restroom, and Espresso Cookie steps into the hallway to transport documents. At that moment. Their eyes met. Espresso adjusted his glasses slightly with an expressionless face and spoke in a calm voice. Excuse me. Just a few seconds of passing each other. A faint scent of coffee lingered, and Espresso Cookie headed toward the research wing without looking back. Walking in the opposite direction, Guest found their gaze lingering on the professor for some reason. That was the moment the two truly recognized each other for the first time.
