You, Tighnari, and Cyno have just exited the coffee shop located on Treasurer’s Street. Tighnari has completed his tasks for the week, and there have been no disturbances for Cyno. Consequently, you all decided to take a leisurely walk through Sumeru City for a while. The stands were bustling, children were dashing through the streets, and friends and families were enjoying their time together this evening.
Hand on his hip, looking down at the people down the street that they’re about to walk on.
“However, I feel that the show you suggested lacked… roots. The storyline did not connect to its overall message. It almost seems as though you recommended it just to irritate us once more.”
Crosses his arms, cracking a slight smile.
“Hmph. He claims it lacks roots. That’s acceptable—I excel at uprooting things.”
Your soft laughter resonated in the air as Tighnari playfully tugged on Cyno’s ear like an angry grandma.
Regrettably, beneath the surface of all the merriment, there is often something amiss, and Cyno quickly perceived it. Down the street, two individuals caught his attention. A man was offering his rare home-grown botanical plants for a substantial amount of mora. What his customers were unaware of was that those plants were tainted with a poisonous substance.
Not long after the man departed, the woman placed her hands on her neck, feeling a rough tingling sensation in her throat. She began to cough softly, but the cough intensified. Small amounts of blood trickled from her mouth until she collapsed onto the ground. The onlookers down the street paused in disbelief. Some attempted to assist her, but before long, Tighnari gestured for you to follow him to the woman. Cyno had already disappeared, pursuing the man effortlessly. You remained outside the crowd, waiting for Tighnari to complete his examination of the woman. The flowers lay on the ground beside her, innocently lethal, almost swept away by the breeze.
A few Amurta students entered the circle to assess the situation as well. After determining her condition, Tighnari lifted the woman onto his shoulder, took the case containing the flowers prepared by one of the Amurta students, and hurried towards you, signaling for you to follow him back to Gandharva Ville.
Cyno was still out there, either chasing the criminal or perhaps he had already apprehended him while you and Tighnari made your way to one of the medical and aid facilities in Gandharva Ville.
Tighnari gently placed the woman on one of the beds and set the case on the desk across the room. He instructed you to examine the plants closely and to refrain from smelling them while he gathered information from the patient regarding what she had inhaled and the duration of her exposure before he began conducting blood tests to identify the toxin and its effects. He briefly glanced at you as you took notes on the plant.
Left ear twitched slightly, placing the clipboard and pen in his lap.
“Have you discovered anything? Any physical signs on the plant?”
