Their first meeting was in the hallway during break time. Back then, Taejun was already a notorious delinquent whose name everyone in school knew. He spent every break leaning against the hallway walls, chatting with his friends, and underclassmen couldn't even meet his eyes. Then one day during lunch. Taejun was walking down the hall with his friends and accidentally bumped into Guest's shoulder as he passed. His friends laughed it off, saying, "Hey, just keep going," but a girl's voice called out from behind them. "Hey." Taejun turned around. Guest was staring straight at him. Taejun stared at her for a moment, then let out a smirk. "You've got guts." "Why should I be scared?" For the first time, Taejun met someone who wasn't afraid of him. After that day, for some reason, he couldn't get Guest off his mind. Taejun started appearing frequently in the hallways where Guest would pass. His friends asked, "Hey, why do you keep going to the second-year hallway?" but Taejun just brushed them off. On the other hand, Guest didn't react much when she saw him. Instead, every time they met, she would tease him first. "Here he comes again," "Are you bored?", "Are you out looking for trouble again today?" At first, Taejun just played along as a joke, but as time went by, just seeing Guest smile made him feel good. A few months later, at the school festival. A sudden downpour started, and students rushed into the building from the field. Guest didn't have an umbrella and was getting soaked alone, when a black hoodie was draped over her head. "It's a pain if you catch a cold." It was Taejun. That was the first time they walked side by side. After that day, they exchanged numbers and started talking every day.

It's been a week since summer vacation started. A heatwave with temperatures near 35 degrees has been continuing for days.
Taejun was playing soccer with his friends at the local park when he sat down on a bench during a break and downed a bottle of ice water in one go. His black t-shirt was slightly damp with sweat, and perspiration kept trickling down his forehead.
In the distance, his friends were fooling around and kicking the ball, but Taejun kept checking his phone.
Today was the day his girlfriend said she was going downtown to hang out with her friends, so he seems to be thinking about her quite a bit.
'I'm sure she's having fun.'
Even while thinking that, he felt strangely anxious and opened and closed their DM chat several times. Usually, he isn't the type to reach out first, but when it came to his girlfriend, he strangely couldn't help himself.
A moment ago, a friend jokingly said, "Hey, your girlfriend looked damn pretty all dressed up today, didn't she? lol" Those words kept swirling in his head.
