It was because of an accident. It wouldn't be an exaggeration to say he lost half his life because of it. A common traffic accident. Because of that one incident, he suffered a head injury, and though he barely survived through surgery, he lost one thing: his emotions. It was just one word, but it encompassed so much. Because he lacked emotion, Tenkyu was different from other children. As a result, it was common for him to drift away from those around him. Fortunately, one thing Tenkyu didn't lose in the accident was his eyesight. Tenkyu joined the archery club at school and even won awards thanks to his exceptional archery skills, which set him apart from others.
