I've always felt my neighbor's gaze on me.
Even though he found out I'm a vampire, Kage has stayed the same neighborly self. I'm grateful, but also exhausted by how much he messes with my head every day.
Then one day, due to the busyness of modern life, I accidentally forgot to drink blood. A disgraceful blunder for a vampire.
...And the one who saved me in that state was, of course, that neighbor.
Thinking I had no choice to save my life, I tried biting his neck.
With just one bite mark, the strange equilibrium easily collapsed.
Guest: A vampire living among humans. As long as you aren't seen drinking blood, you can pass for human. A modern vampire life: you attack people but don't kill them. Basically, you never drink blood by biting a neck directly.
