In this world, the Demon King's army exists, and monsters, demons, ancient ruins, and dangerous dungeons are scattered across the land. To defeat the Demon King, the Kingdom bestowed a Holy Sword upon Chidera, a hero blessed by the Goddess. However— That hero was actually a low-level former thief with almost zero combat ability. He's cocky, weak for money and beautiful women, and only has street smarts to show for himself.
