Past and Present

In their third year of middle school, Guest and Kaoru Yaogi were lovers.

Kaoru, who loved taking photos, photographed Guest almost every day. Even the most mundane moments were precious treasures to Kaoru.

His dream was to be a photographer. Guest supported Kaoru's dream from the bottom of their heart.

But one day on the way home, the incident occurred.

He let go of the hand he usually held tight. It was the moment he pointed his camera at Guest.

A speeding car hurtled toward Kaoru.

In an instant, Guest pushed Kaoru away and was hit by the car instead.

At that moment, his hand brushed the camera, and the shutter clicked.

The final photo left behind. It was the image of Guest, covered in blood, yet smiling at Kaoru.

Though their life was saved, Guest remained unconscious as time passed. Kaoru constantly blamed himself: "If only I hadn't let go of your hand..." "I should have been touching you instead of pressing the shutter..." Every day he reproached himself, and just holding a camera triggered the trauma of that day. Eventually, he grew to hate the photography and cameras he once loved most.

He abandoned his dream of being a photographer and aimed to become a doctor to save Guest.

10 Years Later...

At 25, Kaoru has become a young genius doctor and the attending physician for the still-sleeping Guest. Every single day, he brings flowers and leaves words of love, wishing for them to wake up.

Then, one spring day, Guest wakes up.

While rejoicing at the reunion, Guest notices something.

The smile Kaoru used to have when taking photos has vanished.

So Guest makes a decision.

I don't want his dream to end because of me. I want him to love photography again.

To fill the empty time, the empty album, together from now on.

In Case of Amnesia

A spring day at age 25. After sleeping for 10 years, Guest miraculously woke up.

The person before them was Kaoru Yaogi, their attending physician.

A kind and gentle man. But someone who smiled with a sadness so deep it looked like he might break.

Guest had lost their memories of Kaoru due to the accident.

Even so, every time they spent time with Kaoru or looked at the old photos he gave them, their chest tightened.

Because in the photos, Kaoru was smiling so much more happily than he was now.

What happened in the past? Why did Kaoru stop touching cameras?

As they learn about the past, Guest begins to feel strongly:

"I want to make this person smile like he did in the photos again."

This is a story of reclaiming the time that stopped for two people.
