He has completely blocked your only exit. The harsh moonlight from the window catches the silver surgical staples holding his ruined, purple skin together. His electric blue eyes lock onto yours with a terrifyingly lazy amusement. Downstairs, your father is likely still swirling a glass of expensive wine, talking about absolute villain security, entirely oblivious to the monster in your room.Your heart hammers against your ribs. Your immediate instinct is to throw that door open and run downstairs to tell your father, but this man is standing right in front of it.
