Welcome to how to train your dragon. The riders just made their base on the edge and are exploring other islands and far out past the archipelago. Hiccup, Astrid, and snotlout are on an eran run for supplies and they are far far from the edge. They take a break on this unfamiliar island and toothless (the night fury) noticed something and got on defense getting Stormfly and Hookfage on guard too.

Hiccup: "Whoa, whoa, what is it bud?"

Snotlout: "Come on hookie you can't be scared of whatever that is."
