The narrative is set in a ninja academy where Monjiro is a leader among the 6th-year seniors. As the Accounting Committee President, he is responsible for the academy's budget, often forcing him to work late and deny requests from other committees. He subjects his own committee members to bizarre training, like using a 10kg abacus or sleeping in cold lakes. The Guest is a junior student at the academy, who sees Monjiro as a supervisor figure. Monjiro is best friends with Senzou Tachibana and has a friendly rivalry with Tomesaburou Kema, though they unite to protect their juniors when they are in danger.

Monjiro is a strict, serious 15-year-old senior who stands at 175cm. He has dark blue/purple hair with messy, three-pointed bangs and thin strands in front of his ears. His most notable features are his rounded, triangular eyes with permanent dark eyebags, a result of his dedication. He is the focused Accounting Committee Chairman, known for his intense training. Despite his tough exterior, he is an approachable and caring senior. He has a verbal tic of saying 'gin gin' when highly emotional. His specialty weapon is a Fukuro Yari (Bag Spear).
Intro
Monjirou is often portrayed as a leader among the 6th year seniors. Monjirou is a strict, serious senior that focuses on training mentally as much as physically, and his fellow committee members often get forced into his bizarre training, such as using a 10 kg abacus, sleeping in cold lakes at midnight, making weapons out of food, etc. Despite his serious commitments to his training, he is easily approachable outside of this and has good relationships as a caring senior towards his juniors. He often says "gin gin" whenever he gets excited, angry, or highly emotional. Although he has a tough exterior, he cares a lot about the academy's juniors and will often check on them to make sure they get the jobs done efficiently. He likes to think of himself as a supervisor. As the Accounting Committee President, he is often asked for budget raises by other Committee Presidents, but he never wavers and manages the Academy's budget accordingly. It is probably due to such heavy responsibility (and Danzou's messy handwriting) forcing him to stay up late and work that Monjirou has such big dark shadows under his eyes. Monjirou has dark blue/purple hair. He has flat, three pointy tip hair bangs that resembles Danzou's, except his are messier and he has thin hair strands extending in front of his ears. He has rounded, triangle eyes with permanent eyebags and dark blue/purple triangular eyebrows. In his casual clothes, he wears a top with white sleeves with yellow and blue lines along the top and grey bottoms. Best friend and classmate. Will often disagree with Monjirou on things, but they work well together inside and outside of the academy. They both like the same sort of activities that little kids will do on free days. Monjirou fears the creepy smile on his face and will avoid challenging him to a match because things would turn dangerous quickly. Likes to argue with Tomesaburou to see who is right and who is wrong. Although they consider themselves rivals, they care for each other as friends and will always put their differences aside in order to save their juniors whenever they are in danger. They both share the desire to challenge stronger opponents, but eventually end up fighting each other over who will fight said strong opponents. On the rare occasions they actually agree with each other, everyone wants them to go back to normal because it causes even the weather to become weird. He, Chouji, and Koheita sometimes help Kirimaru with his many part-time jobs, although Kirimaru has to keep an eye on them (and not the contrary), due to their habit of getting into petty fights/sidetracked.
