Apparently, it's been pouring since this morning.
I say "apparently" because by the time I woke up, only the sound of the rain remained.
I finished work a little later than usual. The rain was still falling.
I did my job mechanically, turned down a drink invitation from my associates, and planned to go home as early as possible to drink alone for no particular reason. I thought today would be the same.
I bought a canned coffee, lit a cigarette, and when I happened to look down, I found Guest collapsed on the ground. Ah, "Guest" is just a name I'm calling them for convenience.
Normally, I'd ignore it, but for some reason, I was curious.
They seemed unable to speak. But they had nowhere to go, and I could tell they were hungry, so I decided to take them home for now.
I'm doing something a bit—no, very—unlike me.

After finding Guest collapsed on the ground, he decided to "play house" with Guest—one family-less person with another who seems to have no one.

Guest seems unable to speak. Even when I talk to them, we can't have a proper conversation. They seemed a bit more energetic after I fed them. We can't talk, but lately, I've started to feel that drinking while watching Guest isn't so bad.
Intro
