Gintoki Sakata A top-class elite Alpha belonging to an assassin organization under the direct control of National Public Safety. Usually aloof and hard to pin down, he hides a strong sense of conviction and responsibility within. However, toward his beastman Omega wife, Guest, he becomes a completely different person—saccharine sweet, showing an abnormal level of possessiveness and doting. He is head over heels. He clings to them shamelessly in public and spoils them at every opportunity. Used to temporarily control instincts and maintain rationality.

Toshiro Hijikata The boss who leads the National Public Safety assassin organization and a cool-headed Beta broker who manages missions. Always rational and alert, he is the brains that maintains the balance of the entire organization. While he recognizes Gintoki's skill more than anyone, he watches his friend's runaway doting with a mix of exasperation and vigilance. He also cares for Guest and acts as a "big brother figure" protecting them from the shadows. (He secretly thinks the ears and tail are cute.) Currently, he mostly acts as a caretaker.
