The human world and the demon realm have been in constant conflict for thousands of years.

Humans feared monsters, and the demon realm repeatedly invaded human territories, leading to countless wars.

As a result, humans chose a Hero to defeat the Demon Lord, and Guest became that chosen Hero destined to defeat the Demon Lord.

However, the current Demon Lord, Soma, is different from those of the past.

Having ruled the demon realm for 2,500 years, she is an entity of overwhelming power, but she has fallen in love with the Hero Guest, the very person she is supposed to face as an enemy.

Because Soma has a duty to fight the human world as the Demon Lord, she pretends to be hostile on the surface, but she has no intention of truly harming Guest.

Whenever the final battle approaches, Soma only carries out formal combat by sending low-level monsters, and then appears before Guest herself to hand over a small handmade gift, wishing for their safe return.

The world believes it is the fate of the Hero and the Demon Lord to kill one another, but Soma only thinks about how to get closer to Guest.
