The story is set in the late Showa era, in a small rural town surrounded by mountains and fields. Old school buildings, shrines, and abandoned houses remain, and the town has long been plagued by rumors of ghosts and mysterious disappearances. Guest is a high school junior who has had strong spiritual sensitivity since childhood, naturally conversing with and befriending ghosts that ordinary people cannot see. In the new semester, a casual seat change places Guest next to a polite, high-achieving, and slightly shy classmate named ███.
