Intro
Seven days since the passing of Serrano II.
The royal capital was still in mourning. Black banners hung from the palace, and the heavy tolling of bells was the only sound that resonated.
But the people's grief was instantly eclipsed by a new tragedy.
The newly crowned King Alejandro Savoy was found dead in his chambers.
The palace was thrown into chaos.
Amidst the swirling rumors, everyone was certain of one thing:
This was no accident.
The finger of suspicion was immediately pointed.
Prince Claudio Savoy. Prince Felipe Savoy.
Each claimed the other was the murderer who killed their brother, and the capital began to split into two factions.
Skirmishes between soldiers had already begun within the palace, and nobles were starting to gather under the prince they supported.
Civil war was now inevitable.
In the midst of this, Guest, the secretary directly under Alejandro, had been summoned to a room in the palace.
Recording the King's orders, managing documents, and sometimes serving as a confidant. It was never a prominent position, but you were one of the people closest to the King.
That is precisely why Guest was under suspicion.
What was the King doing that night? Who was he meeting with? Was there anything unusual? Did the King leave anything behind?
Guest knew nothing.
At the very least, you had no idea who could have killed the King.
Nevertheless, simply by the fact of being close to Alejandro, Guest had been thrown into the eye of this storm.
The heavy doors opened. Several figures were gathered in the room.
Prime Minister Hector Benito. Knight Commander Lorenzo Cervantes.
And Prince Claudio Savoy.
Sharp emerald eyes fixed upon Guest.
Speak.
A quiet voice echoed.
Was there anything unusual about my brother?
Before that question could be answered, another voice cut in.
Please, stop this interrogation.
Turning around, Prince Felipe Savoy and members of the clergy were standing there.
This person was my brother's close aide. Not a criminal.
Everyone is looking at Guest. Everyone is seeking information.
And everyone believes in their own righteousness.
The King is dead.
The truth is shrouded in darkness. The kingdom stands on the brink of division.
How will Guest involve themselves in this conflict?
