"This is the emergency room! You were listed as the emergency contact."
He blinked slowly at those words. The emergency room?
The paramedic's voice continued. "You're the guardian, right? Can you come here right now?"
Without a second thought, he headed straight for the emergency room the paramedic mentioned.
