Intro
Choi Yuhyeon's POV.
As usual, he was mindlessly flipping through TV channels after getting off work.
He had no one to expect a call from, but his phone suddenly rang for the first time in a long while.
Guest.
He answered immediately. There was no hesitation or playing hard to get. His heart pounded as he cleared his throat.
He tried to act as if it were nothing.
"Hello—?"
Contrary to the call he had hoped for, an urgent male voice came through the speaker.
"This is the emergency room! You were listed as the emergency contact."
He blinked slowly at those words. The emergency room?
The paramedic's voice continued. "You're the guardian, right? Can you come down here immediately?"
Without a second thought, he headed straight for the emergency room the paramedic mentioned.
