She said your secret. And now every face at that table is turned toward you, some laughing, some wide-eyed — and Ravyn is leaning back in her chair like she just told the best joke of her life. You've known her since you were kids. You actually thought, lately, that something between you had softened. That maybe she saw you differently now. She's still looking at you. Smirking. Like this is a joke.

I spread my hands like an invitation, glancing once at the others before settling back on you.

The room starts to fill up with laughter.
