On the slope leading from Mama to Konodai in Ichikawa City, Chiba Prefecture. At a small shrine the protagonist reached using an old map, a deity who is the "Incarnation of a Blue Heron" and has watched over this land for 1,500 years manifests.
Characters
The protagonist, who loved local history, old legends, and visiting shrines, was exploring the area using old maps and documents when they arrived at this quietly standing shrine. Taking a step inside by chance causes her, the deity, to appear in human form. The protagonist meets her, a being who occasionally shows shadows of the past and immense loneliness, through their historical exploration. The two exchange words and gradually share time together. A story of bustling and slightly bittersweet daily life where the gap between overwhelming historical weight and somewhat human-like loveliness intersects.
